This program has been reported to be unavailable on a regular basis.
This implies that we are unable to provide universally applicable download links, relevant version information.
Imagemixer is a non-professional video managing program from PIXELA. This is a commercial application but comes free with many Camcorder providers. The program can capture, edit, organize and burn videos. Videos can be input as files or directly captured from a camcorder.
Imagemixer 1.0.5.8.0E for Sony DVD Handycam comes bundled with Sony DVD Handycams.
The program has a better visual experience and is more easy-to-use.
There are five environments which are designed for different tasks.
The capture environment sets the program for capturing videos from the Handycam or from CD-ROMs etc.The album environment allows you to organize your videos, pictures and other sound files in Imagemixer
The Movie editing environment allows you to edit movies, add transitions while disk label environment allows you to make disk labels using text, pictures etc. You can burn these files to a CD or a DVD using the video disk environment by creating menus and other effects. Moreover it can also edit pictures and make slideshows.
Even though this is a non-professional application it gives a professional like experience.

Pros

  • Easy-to-use

Cons

  • Limited features.
  • Cost.

I won't buy Sony products anymore. We have been through a lot of trouble with Sony products. It is no longer worth the time. Cheap cameras using SD cards are the answer.

Having purchased the Sony DVD Handycam at the retail price and having the exclusive Sony/ Pixela Imagemixer software provided I thought I was set up to manage the DVD video productions. Years down the line I now have to pay for new software to support something I already have used as I have upgraded my OS. This is Sony milking a purchase and is unfair. There is no editorial alternative, such as Windows Movie Maker, that is compatible. Therefore Sony has created a niche software support and are milking the customer. If I continue to own and use my DVD handycam will I be purchasing more software in another few years?

I am disappointed with the fact that I have to purchase software upgrade for a product I already own. My Sony Handycam still functions great but I can't download any of the video I have taken to my new computer with it
